Turkey
Turkey has long been the intersection of East and West. Istanbul literally stands on two continents and there isn't a place more exotic, more of a mixture, with more unique cultural marks than Turkey. Perhaps the most notable example is the Hagia Sophia, which has stood as both a Christian cathedral and Muslim mosque several times, now serving as a museum serving a beautiful example of co-existence and respect. The natural beauty of Turkey can't be overstated - huge hot springs in the middle of prairies, the unique blues of the Mediterranean Sea, gorgeous cities, and more.
Come to Turkey and you won't be disappointed, and if you have a little more time, combine this trip with some time in Greece too.

Itinerary
day 1 - Depart USA
day 2 - Arrive istanbul - this evening is a pretty easy restful evening after the long journey
Day 3 - Tour Istanbul including the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, the Grand Bazaar, and more.
Day 4 - Cross over to Asian side of Turkey by boat. afterward, drive to canakkale
Day 5 - Tour 4,000 years of history at Troy, Pergamum, and continue on to Kusadasi on the Mediterranean.
Day 6 - Tour some of the largest most well-preserved Roman ruins at Ancient Ephesus and view the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, one of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World.
Day 7 - Travel to Pamukkale Hot Springs, Necropolis, and the ancient city of Hierapolis.
Day 8 - Travel back to Istanbul, one last night in this fantastic city
Day 9 - Depart Istanbul for USA, arrive USA
