There are few places as beautiful, exotic, and intoxicating as the East African savannah. The Masai Mara game park surprised me, as my first African safari, how it looked exactly like the photos. Just as beautiful as I imagined. Lions, elephants, giraffes - there was a chance to see all the big five safari animals and more.
I was just as pleasantly taken by the kind people in Nairobi, the fresh fruits and coffee they offered with incredible hospitality, and the joy in the eyes of our Kenyan friends all over the country. This is a country you should not miss, and it's worth the travel time for this adventure of a lifetime.

day 1 - Depart USA
day 2 - Arrive Nairobi, overnight and rest in Nairobi from the long journey
day 3-7 - Visit local friends and humanitarian work around nairobi and surrounding area, including time at the nairobi giraffe nursery and more.
day 8 - Depart Nairobi for Massai Mara overland, overnight Massai Mara at safari lodge
day 9-10 - Experience a once in a lifetime safari in the Massai Mara game park, exploring the natural wonders of east AFrica, opportunities for sunrise hot air balloon rides, safari rides through the park, and a chance to see exotic animals in the wild
day 11 - One last morning at Massai Mara, visit a Massai village in the afternoon on the way back to Nairobi. Evening flight from Nairobi airport to USA
day 12 - Arrive home in the USA
