Tour Israel, Study Early Church Holy Women, and more...
My life is a tapestry of stories, shaped by women before, beside, and ahead of my own. Even as I've become a mother this year, unexpectedly receiving a call of adoption and suddenly owning this new part of myself, I've learned even more of what it is to respect and learn from the many mothers who have raised me. Not just my mother, her mother, my precious aunts, and the women at my childhood church who I still call "auntie" - but the mothers of the early church, those who have shaped the history I so readily claim. I learn every day from their stories and use them as I attempt in my own way to live into my own calling as a woman - professor, clergy, mother, wife, and leader.
Come with me and explore Israel - learning about the women who have shaped each of us. We'll take a spiritual pilgrimage while floating in the Dead Sea, eating lots of hummus and telling our own stories along the way - learning from the ancient and the modern.
We have some touring planned along with some time to reflect, wander the streets of Jerusalem, and have a baptism experience in the Jordan River. Join me in Israel in 2017 and come home forever changed.
